Our education program is aimed at making CBPM researched and vetted information easily accessible. We strive to provide the most relevant and evidence-based information and make it available through our website, with universal and free access, to improve understanding of this type of medication. Here you should be able to find relevant information on subjects such as mechanism of action, therapeutic applications and evidence of efficacy.
Professional Education
The MIE is also engaged in the education of Health Professionals, through on-line courses and regular events, where experts in relevant fields will share their experience in managing patients with CBPMs, either as a viable alternative to currently available licensed medication where it has not been effective or in combination. The main purpose is to familiarise doctors with different products and their application to improve the patient’s journey through their treatment
Research & Development
Medisonal are committed to all things related to medical cannabis (“CPBM”). Whilst allowing enabling patients to have greater access to CBPM, we want to do more as a company to make a difference. We have partnered with scientists and researchers in the UK and internationally to focus on research and development. We will commission studies on different cannabinoids and their uses, to understand how they can be applied to aid treatment for a range of medical conditions.
Our aim is to focus on the derivatives of the cannabis plant and explore how identified cannabinoids can be combined in order to provide targeted symptom relief. We strongly believe in the healing properties of the cannabis plant and part of our goal is to lead the way in developing cannabis-based specials and revolutionary products in the UK.
Pharmacy
Our affiliated pharmacy is an independent registered pharmacy with a Wholesale Dealer Authorisation. It was established in 2014 and is situated within a CQC accredited Hospital. The team has in-depth experience in distributing medicine both nationally and internationally.
Their comprehensive service ensures medication is received by its patients in a professional and safe manner benefiting from the most current resources and secured specialist courier systems available. The team are highly experienced, and a qualified pharmacist is available during working hours at all times to support both Doctors and patients.
